Our school organized a school trip to Paris on the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th March.
Our flight was at 08:30 am but we had to be at the airport two hours before to do the check-in. We couldn´t even sleep the previous night due to the excitement but we were very awake at the airport.
That same day, we visited Notre Dame’s Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower, two magnificent monuments. It wasn´t that amazing since it was raining and we walked a lot. That day we arrived at the hotel at around 00:30 am.
The second day was definitely the best because we went to Disneyland. We woke up at 06:00 am (+1 hour than in Portugal), so that we could be at Disneyland at around 10 o´clock.
When we finally arrived, we felt like we were in another world. It looked like a magical place where we could do anything and release our inner child. It was awesome, all the rollercoasters, the castles, the princesses… Unfortunately we couldn´t watch the parade with the fireworks because we had to go back to the hotel.
On the third day, we also woke up at 06:00 am. On this day we visited the Louvre Museum where we saw the Mona Lisa, Venus of Milo and some other incredibly famous paintings and sculptures. After lunch, we visited the Palace of Versailles, which is considered one of the most beautiful palaces in the world and it´s easy to know why. It has 700 rooms all decorated with the finest decorations of its time and it also has beautiful and huge gardens.
In our last day, we had to be ready at 09:00 am, which was good because we slept a little bit more. That day we visited the Sacré-Coeur Basilica and the Lafayette Galleries, which are basically like a mall but with extremely expensive stores such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace and so on.
We went to the airport at around 02:00 pm since our flight was at 04:30 pm.
To sum up, this was a very interesting and tiring school trip and, for me, the second day was the best. I wish I could just go back because Paris truly is an incredible and gorgeous city.
